Essentials of Mortgage Lending

This 2-hour class meets the Virginia Post Licensure Education (PLE) requirement for first time licensees.  Topics covered include:

• Where does the “money to lend” come from
• How are mortgage lenders different? 
• Understand Loan Limits, Loan Programs, and basic eligibility for each loan
• The 4 “C”s of lending
• What is the mortgage process from prequalification to closing
• Define PITI
• Categories and amount of closing costs
• Understand the purpose of the deed, note, and deed of trust
